Plano, Texas, May 19, 2015 – VAZATA, a full service cloud infrastructure, managed hosting and colocation provider, announced today it was chosen by Winroc for their data center colocation needs.
WinRoc, a construction products provider, began migrating operations into Texas after primarily operating in Canada. After performing a comprehensive search for a data center colocation provider, they decided to partner with VAZATA.
Based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Winroc/SPI operates 33 branches throughout Canada and 30 in the United States. It has been serving the professional-grade wall and ceiling needs of its customers since 1971.
Winroc has grown through a series of acquisitions across Canada and each of the four states in which it operates. Winroc’s first acquisition was Alberta Drywall Supplies in 1983, allowing Winroc to gain a foothold in Western Canada and paving the way for future expansion. In the mid-90s, Winroc moved into Arizona and Minnesota, followed by Utah in 2000 and Nevada in 1999. Winroc was acquired by Superior Plus in June 2004. Joining Superior Plus allowed Winroc to further grow its operations to serve customers in new regions in Ontario, Maritimes, British Columbia, and USA.
