Greenwood Village, CO, April 9, 2015 – The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), a voluntary association created by and for local governments to assist in planning for common needs and coordinating resources, has selected Ciber®, a global IT consulting company, to provide IT shared services for Infor ERP systems. As a strategic partner for NCTCOG, Ciber will bring a breadth of services including Infor user help desk support, technical support for networks, application administration and support, license management, and data center and hosting services. “We are pleased to support NCTCOG’s commitment to strengthen the power of local governments in Texas with shared services that drive efficiency for its members,” said Chief Executive Officer of Ciber, Michael Boustridge.

Ciber will be responsible for administration of NCTCOG’s Infor environment and applications. Ciber will oversee and manage in-scope applications continuously, manage patch installation and other maintenance, and proactively monitor the system to prevent performance issues. The consulting company will also take charge of system security. Ciber’s Infrastructure as a Service partner, VAZATA, based in Plano, TX, will provide the infrastructure support for cloud-based hosting.
The NCTCOG shared services model with Ciber support will initially support local member government entities, such as city of Arlington and city of Carrollton, with a pledge to support NCTCOG in offering shared services benefits to other member governments hoping to share their application cost burdens and gain long-term savings.
