Plano, Texas, November 20, 2014 – VAZATA, a full service cloud infrastructure, managed services and colocation provider, announced the launch of VAZATA’s Public Sector and named Stephen R. Kovac Executive Vice President of the Public Sector Division. He will design the company’s Public Sector product roadmap, develop a procurement strategy and assist in furthering agency relationships.
VAZATA announced earlier this year that the organization was “FedRAMP Ready” after having their systems and documentation reviewed by the FedRAMP program management office and successfully completing the PMO readiness review process. VAZATA is currently addressing accredited assessment results from SecureInfo, an accredited 3PAO, in preparation of FedRAMP provisional authorization process.

Mr. Kovac is a 23-year veteran of the information systems industry with extensive experience in both the private and public sector. Prior to joining VAZATA, he was Senior Vice President of Sales and Delivery for Pinnacle Technical Resources, an IT consulting services and staffing firm. Prior to that, Mr. Kovac served 16 years at Verizon where he was Vice President at Terremark Federal and Area Vice President of Verizon, Government Services, where he was responsible for developing the IT and Security Services sales and solutions teams for the Federal and SLED market. These solutions included: Cloud computing, managed hosting and data center infrastructure, information assurance, and cyber security.
