VAZATA Meets Significant Milestone by Passing Annual FedRAMP Authorization
VAZATA, a leader in managed hosting, colocation, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and cloud managed services, announced today it has passed the annual FedRAMP authorization, receiving approval by all the Joint Authorization Board Test Readiness Reviewers, representing the General Services Administration (GSA), Department of Defense (DOD), and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
This new level of authorization enables VAZATA to provide its Virtual Federal Image (VFI) Cloud Platform to government agencies working with sensitive data, while meeting the stringent security and performance standards set by FedRAMP.
VAZATA has a history of creating compliant managed hosting and security services for commercial and government accounts through its compliant (VFI) Cloud Platform. VFI was designed to address changing national security and procurement policies and growing cybersecurity threats. VAZATA partners with the leading security ISVs and service providers to make available a full range of managed and shared security services that private organizations and government agencies can buy through a subscription based OPEX model. VAZATA’s Cloud-based solutions can include managed firewall, endpoint, proxy, DDOS and other security services. VFI maintains the integrity of sensitive data and meets stringent security and compute performance standards.
“This achievement further underscores VAZATA’s continuing leadership in designing and delivering community cloud platforms that meet the highest standards of government security authorization,” stated Lance Black, Chief Executive Officer of VAZATA. “I couldn’t be prouder of the hard work from our entire FedRAMP team, which has worked tirelessly to meet this significant milestone.”
The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) provides a standardized government-wide approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. FedRAMP allows the U.S. Federal government to realize the benefits of cloud computing faster through a single authorization process. In January 2016, VAZATA was granted a Provisional Authority to Operate (P-ATO) from the Joint Authorization Board for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). The FedRAMP P-ATO is a declaration that VAZATA has implemented the appropriate cloud infrastructure security posture to comply with FedRAMP security requirements for providing cloud services to federal agencies.
