Dallas Marathon Launches Inaugural RunDallas Race Series in Partnership With Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers and FC Dallas
The Dallas Marathon has created a year-round race series in collaboration with the Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers and FC Dallas. The RunDallas Race Series is designed to promote health and fitness in the Dallas community through running and physical activity, a goal collectively shared by each of the participating organizations. The race series will also help increase awareness of these running events in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
To complete the RunDallas Race Series, one must finish a series of four races throughout the calendar year, culminating in the running of the Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon or Behringer Relay. 2015 RunDallas Race Series events include:
The inaugural FC Dallas Footy 5K and Fun Run presented by VAZATA on July 11
Rangers Labor Day Race Presented by Medical Center Arlington on Sept. 7
The Mavs Run This Town 5K in October, date TBD
The 45th running of the Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon or Behringer Relay on Dec. 13
Upon completion of all four races, participants will earn a special RunDallas Race Series medal, awarded at the Dallas Marathon finish line on Sunday, December 13. Click here for more info.
Kickoff Run and Gametime Party Presented by Miller Lite

This untimed 4.5K fun run and party will celebrate the launch of registration for the 45th running of the Dallas Marathon. It’s an event you and your friends don’t want to miss, featuring live music, free beer (must be 21 or older), spirit contest, food trucks and giveaways! Dallas Marathon and FC Dallas Focus on Fitness Together
FC Dallas and organizers for the Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon and Behringer Relay today announced a partnership designed to amplify both groups’ commitment to supporting youth and general fitness initiatives in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The new partnership will come to life at year-round events and through cross-promotional activities including the 45th Dallas Marathon and the inaugural FC Dallas Footy 5K and Fun Run presented by VAZATA on July 11, 2015, with more events in development. Dallas Marathon Donation to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children Raises Marathon’s Contribution to Beneficiary to more than $3.75 Million Since 1997
The Dallas Marathon board of trustees today presented a donation of $250,000 to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC), the primary beneficiary of the Dallas Marathon since 1997. Funds contributed to TSRHC are from corporate partnerships, online fundraising, individual gifts and year-round activities including the 2014 Dallas Marathon. TSRHC patients and their families, hospital volunteers and staff, Dallas Marathon representatives, partners and individual fundraisers attended an awards ceremony to commemorate the donation and recognize key figures in the running community, Meb Keflezighi and Joe Bacon, with individual awards.
